Administrator | This is the person in charge of application parameters set-up and maintenance. Among his tasks are takers and their permissions definition. |
Advanced booking | A kind of registration which can be done several hours or even several days in advance (unlike the reservation). Advanced booking periods are defined by the administrator. To be validated an advanced booking has to be confirmed. |
Confirmation |
To be valid, the reservations and the
advanced bookings have to be confirmed before the beginning of

the booking has been confirmed.
A not confirmed booking is usually lost (canceled) at the beginning of its period.
The administrator may define the tolerance. |

displaying reservation board. For example, imagine that one-hour advanced booking periods are generated for each peak hour, with the creation time limit of 45 minutes. At 17h30, the first advanced booking generated will be at 19h (17h30 + 45 minutes = 18h15: next period= 19h). |
Registration | This is the period of time assigned to one or several takers. The booking may be done as a reservation or as an advanced booking. All the registrations are displayed on the reservation board. |
Reservation | Reservation consists for the taker to book the first available period on the given court or for the activity room. To be validated the reservation has to be confirmed. |
Reservation board |

the selected day. See also the User's Guide. |
Rule | Permission level defined by the administrator for a pool of takers (called equally taker type). These rules apply to grids, day periods, taker types, courts and days of the week. |
Super user |
A taker who is given the "Lock" attribute
is exempted from confirming because he "locks" the period when he
books. He is allowed to book in the future, and can do it alone, even
if the associated rule requires two takers. Usually takers given
"Lock" attribute are part of technical entity (such as "Maintenance",
"Interclub", "Tournament", etc.) or trainer.
However the rule has to exist to allow such takers to book in advance. |
Taker | This is the entity that is likely to book. Usually this is a member of the club, but it can refer to such an entity as the "Maintenance", "Tournament", "Private lessons", etc. |
